This plaque was purchased by me several years ago out of an estate that contained the personal effects of P.T Johnson who was a Naval Aviator during WW2 through to Vietnam. I think that most of his flying history was associated around the Korean War but a lot of years and a hurricane put distance between any research I'd done an now. Lt Johnson was a member of VF 113 as a fighter pilot and this was obviously given to him when he was a member of that unit or when he transferred from it. It has a nicely cast bronze bee hive and bumblebee motif that was the insignia of the squadron. The award simply states "To P.T.Johnson From The Stingers. Mounted on a painted hardwood and has a hanger attached. I will open this up at $9.95 as always. Guaranteed that if you win and you pay, I will ship to you. Shipping Charges and methods of payment DOMESTIC USA My shipping charges are calculated and quoted according to the size plus the weight plus the destination according to the calculator on the website. I generally ship using USPS Priority mail with Delivery Confirmation and insurance for the full value. All shipping is from zip code 32507. The cost of shipping is paid by the buyer and is added to the final bid price of the item. I do not have any extra fees added to this unless t is some additional costs above and beyond standard bubble wrap and peanuts in a box packing. If an item sells for less than $20 I will negotiate this and use 1st class shipping but Delivery Confirmation is still to be used. If an item sells for over $250 I will use Signature Confirmation and not Delivery Confirmation. If an item sells for over $900 I prefer to use USPS Registered Mail.
