Offered for sale, is a gorgeous and unusual, platinum and diamond engagement or cocktail ring. The ring features a 5 mm Old European Cut Diamond in the center weighing approximately 0.46 carats. There are 20, additional, Old European Cut diamonds prong set in the surrounding petal or flower like design. The diamonds are estimated at SI1-2 clarity and H-I color and total approximately 1.01 carats in all.The mounting has beautiful mil-grain work on the top and the ring looks stunning on the finger. The top of the ring measures 14 mm around, (25 mm = 1 inch) and the top part of the shank is 20 mm across, (east to west including the shoulders). The back of the shank is 1.5 mm wide. The ring rises 5 mm above the finger. It is hallmarked "Plat" and aside from a tiny fleabite on the edge of the center diamond, when viewed through a loupe and some surface scratches on the platinum shank from normal wear, it is in wonderful vintage condition. I estimate the age of the ring to be somewhere between 1930-1950. The ring is a size 8 and can be re-sized by any competent jeweler. It weighs a substantial 5.7 grams and is priced to sell.All sales are final so please e-mail me with any questions, prior to purchase.
