Hello, Is another grouping from my Ploesti Raid file. Please see my previous listing for a different grouping from this same crew. Please read the following carefully. The first photo is an 8x10 photo with an image size of 7-1/2 Inches wide x 6-3/4 Inches high. It has been autographed by 3 crewmembers of "Northern Star" These are actual autographs by the veterans Involved and not scans, facsimilies, or reproductions of any type. The next photos Is a 5x7 autographed photo of the Pilot, Glen Underwood, the third Is a scan of an autographed photo, this Is a scan, not autographed. It looks as good as the original. It is only autographed by the Bombardier as I failed to send it to the Navigator Ed. Rothkrug. This scan Is 8x10 .It's Interseting that "Northern Star" made It over the target and was unable to release their bombs. The first photo was taken from the B24 "Nightmare" by Jerry Joswick the only photographer to fly the Ploesti Mission. He gave copies to Frank Beauregard the Waist Gunner on "Nightmare" who assisted him. Frank loaned me the photos 50 years later. I took them to a photo lab and had an Inter Negative made, with copies and returned the copies to the Veterans for signature. "Northern Star" flew on the left wing of "Nightmare" so what you see In the photo Is the same thing that "Northern Star" saw. You can see the 4th wave of the 98th coming over the target. With the photos you will receive copies of correspondence from Robert Judy (copies) not the originals. Please see my e-bay rating, please visit my website or visit with us at the Show of Shows Military Collector Show. For Information on that please see the appearance listing on my website. Overseas bidders please contact me first. Statement concerning photo subject and photographer. The research did was 10-15 years ago. My source of Information came from letters from Frank Beauregard, Interviewing him at a reunion In 1998, and the Dugan and Stewart book. Frank loaned me this photo and told me (50 years later) that Jerry Joswick took the photos from Frank's plane "Nightmare" Page 171 of the book "Ploesti" states that "Jerry Joswick was the only trained motion picture cameraman to fly Tidal Wave. Other members of his combat camera unit were ordered from the ships before take off"." Many planes carried automatic cameras, which were started,If at all by busy untrained gunners, so that professional annotation of place and events In the pictures was not brought back except by Joswick." Thankyou and Happy Bidding!!!
