This is a Pobeda Wrist Watch made in the USSR. The watch is in excellent to near mint cosmetic condition with hardly any cosmetic defects. The watch mechanism works and keeps for time. The watch was 48 hour tested prior to listing with rotation through different positions to confirm the function of the mechanism and accuracy of the timekeeping. ZIM (зим) Watches were manufactured in the Maslennikov Factory (Завод имени Масленникова) between 1951 and 2004. The factory struggled after the fall of the soviet system and tried to produce its own brand, however, this was not successful. Soviet ZIM's are marked "Made in the USSR" or the Russian equivalent. The factory was in Samara on the east bank of the Volga River and constructed numerous Pobeda movements and its own movements.
