Large paper 19 x 15 folded in two to 9 1/2 x 15 inches. A wax seal in between keeps the two halfs together. Ideal for framing. The document is in Latin and was written in Warsaw ( Varsovia) November 28th 1770 .. My Latin is pretty rusty but good enough to understand this is a letter of discharge for the Lt. Colonel Wilhelm Osten, an officer of the Royal Army. Beautiful seal of the Kingdom of Poland (4 inches in diameter) in the middle, the signature Stanislas Augustus Rex on the left , signature Antonius Sikorski (king's secretary) on the right. On the opposite side of the document an official notarization of the seal by the infamous Bishop and Great Chancellor (and Russian agent in his spare time) Stanislaw Kostka Mlodziejewski .. A very beautifull and rare document. Buyer pays shipping - insurance is a must. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: I do not have PayPal and can accept payment through money orders, cashiers checks only .. This, I realize, hurts some potential buyers in Poland .. and I am sorry. On the other hand Poland has a pretty restrictive legislature of its own as far as export of antiques goes - I could not have a similar document shipped to me legally and openly from Poland to the US.
