A few years ago, Hallmark created their Polar Express bell - a very expensive collectible, that coincided with the release of 'The Polar Express'. Many families wanted to give the gift of a bell, but the prices were prohibitive. I created this custom, hand-made, reasonably priced alternative, at Elvenridge, on Elfworks Lane, w I live. Accept no substitutes - I offer these bells again this year, at all different prices, to fit your budget. This is my lower end brass bell, a real sleigh bell, with leather strap, in a nice hand wrapped package, and a candy cane striped lid. The bell sits on a nest of 'reindeer snow'. Kids love these bells, and they were a big hit all across the world last year. Some try to mimic what we do Be aware that we RESTORE antique bells, not just clean them. That means that they will not be damaged or gouged by rough cleaning treatments. We also package in a careful and thoughtful way - it's not just a bell - it's a whole package - put together with great love and care for YOUR special gift.Understand what you are buying when selecting your special bell - standard bell measurements don't include the tang, which is the piece that includes the hole which the leather threads through. Ask your prospective bell suppliers if their measurements include the tang measurement. Ask if it is a craft quality bell (ours is not a lightweight craft bell). Ask if it is a perfectly round bell (our bells are heavy and round). Remember, our packaging includes a specially hand decorated box, not a mass produced box, not a mass produced bag, but something hand made. This particular bell is an ACTUAL sleigh bell. It has good weight, being brass, and has a pleasant ring. Measures a little under 1 inch (7/8 inch to be exact). Kids young and old love these. A note about package tracking: I ship USPS. Insurance is optional, but does also provide tracking. If you choose no insurance, you assume risk of loss, and we can't track your package.
