Obsolete York & North East Yorkshire police helmet. Cork helmet from 1960s/70s slight wear to from peak, but overall good condition, rare item very collectable.This cone helmet was formally issued to East Riding of Yorks police. Upon amalgamation with North Riding and the City of York Police in 1968, former East Riding officers were able to retain their East Riding helmets, with black top. The new force issued badges which showed the new logo as displayed.This helmet has the York and East Riding badge worn by officers from 1967 - 1974, making it an extremely rare item.Will ship outside UK with the exception of Eastern European.Display head not included.
