This is my favorite stoneware, hand made in Poland. The items are shaped and painted by hand, they're fired in coal and gas ovens at temperatures in excess of 2450 F,making them exceeding durable. They are impervious to obrasives,resistant to cracks and chips.This piece is lead and cadmium free and is safe to use in a microwave, dishwasher, oven and freezer. Boleslawiec pottery is functional as well as stylish. Its ideal to create elegant table settings with "mix-and-match" pieces. Pieces such as this are very popular and practical gifts for anyone who can appreciate good craftsmanship This item is made by Ceramika Artystyczna.
