This is a "U4" pattern which is one of the most intricate has the cobalt blue rim around all pieces. All pieces are in new condition. The pieces I am selling have never been used. I am selling pieces that took years to put together & am selling only because I no longer have space for storage. All pieces are Unikat, signature polish pottery with the artist's signature and the pattern number on the back. This pottery is often referred to as "Ceramika Artystyczna Stoneware ." Signature pieces are indicated by the BLUE RIM on each piece as well as the SIGNATURE and PATTERN NUMBER on the back or underneath side. The Ceramika Artystyczna factory in Boleslawiec, Poland creates the world's most widely sought after Polish Stoneware designs. The old world technique of creating hand stamped designs has been passed down through the generations. The artists cut nature inspired shapes from dried sea sponges & applies their designs in a continuous stamping rhythm until each pattern layer is complete. Intricate brushwork is applied in the more complicated patterns such as the Unikat, (unique) or Signature series line of patterns of which the U4 designs are considered the most detailed. Each decorated piece of stoneware reflects the inspiration of the artist at the moment it is being created; the resulting patterns will hold variations making each and every piece its own unique creation. All Ceramika stoneware is formed from a white clay exclusive to the Silesian region of Poland with a unique lead free glazing (also exclusive to the CA factory). The clay is considered a national treasure of Poland. The glazing is applied and then fired in coal and gas ovens at temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees centigrade. This process creates non-toxic and durable stoneware pieces that are safe for use in the oven, microwave and dishwasher and are impervious to abrasives. This extremely durable stoneware will not crack or chip easily, will cook evenly, hold heat and cold for longer periods of time and will clean up easily!! I prefer payment by Paypal only. You can use your credit card or bank account and process a Packages will be sent by priority mail and insurance is required. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Good luck & thanks for looking at my listing.
