A very unique plaque depicting the Polish eagle.Dated 1410.to commemorate the crushing defeat by the Polish and Lithuanian forces over the all powerful Teutonic Knights of Germany.Sadly although they won this very important battle at the start of the campaign the ramifications were so long-lasting that both Hitler and Stalin were still referring to the event as reasons for tensions during the 1930s and the 2nd worls war.Polish people still regard the battle as one of there finest hours.Signed by the artist a polish lady who has seen the plaque and told me of its significance also told me the name,but I didn't write it down.hopefully it can be seen in the second photo.THIS ITEM WILL NOT BE RELISTED
