Polish war Medals of Honor: Order of the White Eagle Type III. The Order was reinstituted in 1921 by the Republic of Poland as the highest national decoration for military and civilian service to the nation. The order was awarded in one class only The President of the Republic was the Grand Master of the Order. The order retained its 18th century design with some changes. The cross was the same but with a modified crowned eagle. Only 95 awards were made. VERY RARE
