A Beautiful Polished 5 1/4 inch Tall Amethyst Oblisk. Nice purple violet color throughout. Flat base makes a gorgeous display piece. Weight is 14.2 ounces. You will be happy with this beautiful specimen when you win it at this no reserve auction.

Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family with a hardness of 7. Its color varies from pale violet to deep purple and is derived from the combination of trace amounts of iron and aluminum, plus natural radiation. It is found in numerous parts throughout the world, especially Brazil, Bolivia, Africa, Russia and the US.
