This is a finished box with clear water based polycrylic. The box is 8 1/4 inches long by 7 inches wide 3 3/4 tall. Has a 140 stainless screen quarter-inch clear shelf glass in it's collecting area. Thus storage is one inch and 1/8 deep . The drawer is held in place with four quarter inch disk magnets. This will ensure that you do not lose any precious product. If you need to replace the screen or if you choose to change the stainless steel. simply disassemble the bottom of the box it'll separate into two pieces exposing the screen .Changing the screen is as easy as changing the screen in your house simply by removing the spline changing the screen and rolling a new one in its place no glue. The boxes are constructed of hard wood maple bought from local mills in Michigan and the rough material is ran through a series of equipment a joiner and a thickness planar shaper and of course table saw . When I am assembling these boxes I will not apologize I am very generous with the glue I use Titebond number two permanent wood glue water resistant you may see glue in the corner of the box's.
