Polycrase Black Uranium Thorium Glass has Rare Earth Elements in it. It shows really nice black glass morphology. This Polycrase is from a deposit near Trout Creek Pass East of Buena Vista in the Colorado Rockies. The deposit is in the Pegmatite area where Feldspar mining went on in the past.

I use these 3 different Ultraviolet Lights. The ones on the outside are Mineralights, while the one in the center is a UVP UVG-11 254nm Shortwave UV lamp.
The colors seen with the different lights are strikingly different. The SW UV Mineralight has output in a broader spectrum than does the UVG-11 at 254nm.
