I'VE ALWAYS FELT THE MOODY BLUES A UNDERRATED BAND BY THE ROCK PEOPLE WHO REALLY MISSED OUT. WHILE THEY WERE BUZZING TO THE HARD STUFF THE MOODIES WERE TAKING PEOPLE INTO THEIR SOULS. WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED AND FINEST BANDS EVER ( HEY I LIKE HAWKWIND AS WELL ). WHAT'S NEVER OR RARELY ( WHO KNOWS ) SPOKEN IS WHAT MADE THEM GREAT. WITHOUT A DOUBT JUSTIN HEYWARD WAS THE MAN. BUT AFTER HIM WHAT GAVE THE GROUP A TRUE BALANCE ( HA HA ) WERE THE SONGS OF MIKE PINDER WHO WHEN HE LEFT THE BAND, THE BEAUTY OF HIS SONGS AND PLAYING COULDN'T BE MATCHED OR REPLACED. INTERESTING THOUGH WAS THAT MIKE'S BEST WAS WITH THE MOODIES AND HE NEVER REALLY EQUALED THAT. AFTER HIM WAS THE MAN WHO MADE THIS ALBUM, RAY THOMAS. HIS VOICE AND PLAYING ALONG WITH JUSTIN AND MIKE WERE A TRIP TOWARD HEAVEN. JOHN LODGE AS TALENTED AS HE WAS ESPECIALLY HIS WRITTING WITH HEYWARD DID NOT MATCH THE SONGS OF THE OTHERS. THOUGH THE BLUEJAYS BY HEYWARD AND LODGE TOGETHER WAS THE NEAREST TO THE MOODIES SOUND, RAY THOMAS HAD THE MOST SUCCESS OF THE MEMBERS
