GREAT AUCTION RARE CALIFORNIA POMO MORTAR & PESTLE This mortar and pestle grinding stone set are from the Pomo indian tribe were part of the Mr. Page Estate collection and was a personal find of the late Mr. John Page in 1950 in Sonoma, California. The mortar, which weighs over 16 pounds, is almost 7" high and 7" in diameter.igh. The pestle is 6" long and 2 1/2" at the base. The 100% authentic Pomo artifact shows wear and mineralization consistant with its intended use and age. The item is in-situ as found by Mr. Page over 60 years ago.
