Black Glass, Long Bulge Neck, Pontiled Bottle This auction is for a very beautiful early Black Glass, Bulge Neck, Pontiled Bottle . The bottle is olive green (dark in the base and neck, but lighter in the shoulder). It stands 11.25" in height with a base diameter of 3.25". A very nice sharp open pontil exists on the kicked up base. This bottles condition is just fantastic. It was lightly cleaned by someone who knows what they were doing, the bottle has just that right amount of sheen that shows off the bottle at its very best. T are NO cracks, chips, dings, or stain anyw The shading of its color is just great. It is very clean inside and out, with just a few very light age surface marks (as you would expect on these old bottles). I'd rate this bottle a 9.7 on a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being perfect.When I first saw this bottle, I thought "Wow, what a nice old bottle" I was impressed. I rarely see such nice old examples as this piece.
