Desk top commemorative for 80 th anniversary of the Pony Express. It measures 7 X 14 inches. It has a brass plate with two pictures of men and the date of 1940, 80 th anniversary The pony express and a picture of a man on a running horse. The piece is made of wood (think oak) and has the inscription in the wood: A-M Speir Postmaster, State Soldier Home Ohio. On the right side there is a pen holder with what looks like the original pen. The other side has a holder with a small opening, but I don't know what it is for. May be made for a feather quill-you decide. This is a very nice unique piece for any collector. There is some wear on the wood from age. Check out my other items ! USA Shippment Only on this item
