We consider ourselves lucky to have found this wonderful looking solid brass wall oil lamp, and we now offer it to you. It has a large reflector mounted behind it and it was made to be fastened to a wall. The reflector looks like it might have been made from an old pan used for screening gold dust & nuggets. The height of this wonderful lamp is 18-1/2 inches. I am not sure if lamps of this style were originally designed to burn oil, kerosene, or coal oil. This is really a wonderful looking lamp to add to your home or office and it makes a great focal point as well. This lamp has a neat looking brass tag affixed to the reflector located just behind the globe that says: Pony Express EST. 1860 Property Of C.O.C. & P.P. Express Company and shows a rider on a horse. And since the lamp is all brass it can't rust so it can be used inside or out. Picture this little beauty on your patio or deck. You could even fill it with Citronella oil to help keep the mosquitoes away when entertaining guests. The lamp does have a bit of soot inside but a minor cleaning by the high bidder will put it right once again.
