Pop & Blues Festival 1970 poster Black Sabbath Free POP & BLUES FESTIVAL '70 - vintage Hamburg March 1970 concert poster Unique, one of a kind, mega rare first printing concert poster advertising the POP & BLUES FESTIVAL '70 at the Ernst Merck Halle in Hamburg, Germany on March 28-30, 1970 featuring a host of fantastic names including Free, Brian Auger, Alexis Korner, The Nice, Steamhammer, Killing Floor, Hardin & York, Blood Sweat & Tears, Tomorrow's Gift and Sphinx Tush. When this poster went into print all performing acts had still not been confirmed which is why they don't feature on the poster. The great Black Sabbath, for instance, was a late addition and played on March 30. Other bands that performed at the festival included Yes, Chicken Shack, Flaming Youth & The Ark (feat. a young Phil Collins), Renaissance, Christine Perfect, Man Groundhogs, East of Eden, Family, Savage Rose, and Amon D��l II. Condition: As rare as this poster is, it is, alas, not without major flaws with numerous tape-repaired tears, the worst being a 10 inch tear at the top. Please take a good look at all close-up photos below so you will know exactly what you're bidding on. For all I know this could be the last surviving copy and since there is no real paper loss it might be a good idea to have a paper conservator repair it. The poster measures exactly
