Signed & dated (82) original print by Christopher Makos of Andy Being Crowned. Christopher Makos was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1948. He spent his boyhood in California, then moved to paris to study architecture and eventually worked as an apprentice to artist Man Ray. Since the early 1970s, he has worked developing a unique style of boldly graphic photojournalism and more recently male nudes. From the late 70s through the 80s, Makos was one of Andy Warhols closest friends, sharing stock tips to photo tips, traveling together from Aspen to Dusseldorf to Barcelona and Beijing. After Andys death, Makos released Warhol by Makos---A Personal Biography which captured, in photos and words, the essence of their relationship. This is one such image of the legendary pop figure Andy Warhol. Dimensions: 20 x 16 inches.
