Antique Porcelain figurine-
German Bisque "Mrs. Bunny with EggBaskets" attributed to Gebruder Heubach Antique bisque figure of standing bunny costumed as woman, carrying an egg-shaped basket on her back and two egg-baskets on her arms, decorated with garlands of Springtime flowers. ( The bisque baskets probably intended as a candy container) The white bunny costumed with expressive eyes is a well-sculpted bunny ". She is dressed in a pale green long dress with white shawl and her two Easter baskets are covered in rose and floral garlands. The figurine , including the facial features, and the clothing, are handpainted . The workmanship and the colors are vivid and have wonderful pastel hues.. This piece was in the family since the 1940’s sitting in a glass cabinet next to the finest of porcelain. This is a great old figurine with lovely detail! The rabbit has a sweet face, ethereal eyes.Size- 6" tall X 5" wide Condition: Very good for its age- You can see in photo there was a repair to the tip of one ear that is barely noticeable, otherwise very good condition. Marked on bottom with numbers 511 painted. Although Mrs. Bunny is marked on the bottom with numbers only , she is almost identical to another identified Heubach Bisque Mrs. Bunny. Date- probably circa 1910- The egg container was in my family home for over 40 years sitting next to the finest of Meissen figurines.
