Porcelain eggcup with attached saucer dates from circa 1820. Factory unknown. Decoration on outside of eggcup and on saucer consists of royal blue and white panels, separated from each other by wavy gold line. Gold line around top edge, stem and foot of eggcup and edge of saucer. Eggcup is decorated inside around the top edge with a pattern of vine leaves on gold. Crack inside the eggcup is visible in photo. The crack is not apparent from the outside of the eggcup as it is hidden by the gold wavy line. No other damage. Gilding is in excellent condition. Lovely unusual and early eggcup.
