This is a wonderful Napoleon General porcelain figurine. This is one of twelve figurines, featuring Napoleon and his Generals. This figure was made in Germany by the firm Scheibe-Alsbach, has the maker's mark - "S" with crossed "X". They were known during the 19th century for producing high quality styles of earlier Meissen figurines. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. The piece measures approx 10 inches in height which includes the base. It is beautifully decorated and has a "biography" on the underside of the piece, "Mortier" on the front of the base and his birth and death dates on the back of the base. This is a really nice quality figurine - a great display piece for the Napoleon collector. I have entire set of 12 individually listed this week. Email with any questions and happy bidding!!!
