1973 Porsche 356 Speedster � Replica For Sale You MUST Read All The Information Provided Below MANY PICTURES ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS LISTING PAGE ] I ended the previous listing [item: 200739950812] due to apparent inaccuracies which only came about due to the eBay listing - I thank the bloke who told me he drove it when it was built, who provided me with some details I never knew, and the other bloke who pointed out that it wasn't built in 1973 as a speedster, it was built in 1973 as a beetle, and then restored in 1997 for Francie Clarkson and her rally, which was sponsored by The Daily Telegraph, and not The Daily Mail as first thought. I apologise for those who had bided and got the auction to a comfortable £4,100 on its second day of being listed with 6 or 7 days to go, and I hope you all bid again and are happy to see that this time it has NO RESERVE PRICE!! and no discrepancies. Since then it has had thousands spent on it to modernise it somewhat, including a £3,200 flip-paint job only 3 years ago (flip-paint means it changes colour with the sunlight - hard to see in the pictures mind) and £1,500 on stereo, speakers, amp and sub-woofer. And £2,000 1800 VW Beetle engine which is tuned and uses weber carbs and a very very nice custom exhaust. It uses a 1800 tuned VW Beetle engine (Balanced Weber Carbs, Performance Exhaust etc etc). The car is quite quick off the mark but it isn't meant for thrashing as it is a gorgeous old car. I'll only sell this car to somebody who is going to respect it, and let me keep in touch with her. If you come and view the car (as per the terms at the bottom of this listing description) then you must not mention the words "Sale", "Selling", "Buying", or mention any cash amount in front of the car, you will hurt her feelings. I told her we will be together forever and she has looked after me as much as I have looked after her. The car has cost me literally nothing in repairs as a result. She's always performed when asked.
