PORTMEIRION BOTANIC GARDEN DINNER PLATE Honeysuckle ~ Butterflies ~ 1972 Stamp ~ Made in England I'm please to offer this beautiful "Honeysuckle" dinner plate measuring 10 1/2 inches wide. The plate is made of pottery with underglaze decoration on a shiny white background. Beautiful butterflies flutter around the highly detailed Chrysanthemum better known as a "Mum". The detail is incredible, much better than the new Porteirion that you will find on store shelves. The new ones look blurry compared to the old label like this example that is rich with detail. Stamped on the bottom, "THE BOTANIC GARDEN circa 1818 PORTMEIRION SUSAN WILLIAMS ELLIS 1972" This gorgeous plate is in excellent condition. It was never used, washed, dried, put in the oven or microwave. No chips, cracks, crazing, flea bites or shelf ware. Please see pictures for further detail. Would make an amazing gift!
