Very rare, (I cannot find another signed example in research) portrait miniature on wafer by the English miniaturist, J.P. Hunter, signed a dated reverse 1841. Foskett lists J.P. Hunter as being active from 1824 and exhibiting at Suffolk Street in 1827. The miniature is in what appears to be the original solid silver brooch frame with silver bezel and original beveled glass, reverse with 10k pin. All is excellent, the case having one small dent reverse. approx 1.9" x 1.6".
