PORTRAIT MINIATURE WATERCOLOUR ON IVORY EARLY 19THC LADY IN LEATHER DISPLAY CASE PORTRAIT MINIATURE WATERCOLOUR ON IVORY EARLY 19THC LADY IN LEATHER DISPLAY CASE Description: A fine early 19th century portrait miniature, beautifully painted in watercolour on ivory, of a lady, circa 1830, housed in its original, folding, leather display case with metal catches. Identities of the artist and sitter are unknown. Condition: The portrait is in excellent condition, with no marks or damage to the paint. The case is in very good condition, bearing a few signs of aged wear and tear; it shuts firmly, with the hinges and catches being in sound condition – please see photos. Size: The case measures (closed) 110mm (w) x 133mm (h) x 17mm (d) approx. The image area measures 66mm (w) x 87mm (h) approx. _gsrx_vers_457 (GS 6.3.2 (457))
