A story in two parts: (1) History of the Western Pacific Railroad and its connections with the Burlington and Rio Grande Railroads; (2) History of the train itself, all profusely illustrated. Published by the Pruett Publishing Company, first edition, 1977. Hard cover with slip cover, 358 pages, 10 1/2 wide by 8 1/2 deep format. The book comes in a box (see photo two) plus a slip cover. In very good condition with minor dog ears on the slipcover corners. Inside pages are clean and defect-free. See photos for a sample of the contents.
