This is a very old machine in very good condition. The machine itself is in working condition, has a needle, the presser foot and the fabric advance work smoothly when the manual wheel is turned. The machine has patent dates all over it, the oldest is 1870 on the treadle assembly. Several dates are on the nickel plated base plate, they range up to the 1890's. Gold leaf is still in pretty good condition on the sewing machine frame. T are numerous attachments, none of which I know what are or exactly what they do. All seem to have the same name brand logo, some with patent dates as early as 1862. The machine is missing the belt or spring wire that connects the treadle to the sewing mechanism. With this installed, I am absolutely certain it will sew. The cabinet cover and the sewing top are solid wood, and look to be walnut. This is all in very good condition, but t are a couple of circles that may have resulted from a glass being set on the wood. I am sure the surface has never been refinished. Perhaps it would be a mistake to do so. The left side is a drop leaf, with three drawers on the right. The wrought iron frame appears to be perfect. The four roller wheels are is super condition. The wood box cover has a key lock to keep curious children out?, I do not have the key. I am not a sewing machine guy, so do not ask me if this is a read more
