Tintype Photo in Case Post Mortem Mother Baby Tinted Va Description Up for auction is this Antique photo of a beautiful young Mother holding her deceased?** Baby. Her eyes look so sad. Both Baby and Mother are tinted with rosy cheeks & lips. The mother's jewelry is tinted with gold. It comes in a wooden case with a beautiful design of an Urn filled with Flowers & Fruit. The photo is in a gold border. The inside of the case has a flower wreath design on red velvet. The latch is intact and still works. The case is 3.25" x 3.75" and in very good condition. I Purchased it at an Estate Sale in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia **I'm not really sure that this is a Post Mortem. I keep wavering on it. I thought that because the baby's eyes were open and his cheeks and lips were tinted that it was not. After doing research I found other post mortems, very much like this one with the same tinting and most of the babies had opened eyes.
