POST VERSALOG 1460 Hemmi Japan Slide Rule and Manual VINTAGE SLIDE RULE, FREDERICK POST Model # 1460, VERSALOG HEMMI This slide rule is in excellent great working order and slides smoothly with no looseness. It has no cracks, stains, or warping. The guide is clear, undamaged, and slides easily. This is the full size slide rule, which measures 12½ inches. This auction is for a Post 1460 Versalog bamboo slide rule. This style has a green number COS scale and is after the "BAMBOO" was dropped from the edge inscription. This is the venerated Post Versalog full size slide rule, which arguable set the standard for slide rule functionality, operability, and beauty. The rule is in excellent shape with no damage, marks, or initials anyw on the rule. All numbers, letters, divisions, and markings are clear and unfaded. The end braces are scratch free but do show slight signs of corrosion free and slight discoloration. The cursor glass is clear with no scratching or cracks, and clear, unblemished red cursor lines. All eight cursor screws are present, unmarred, and have no corrosion. The original brown leather case, with belt loop and ring, but without belt clip, is in good condition with slight color damage to the flap loop. The leather has some fade marks and very slight scratches but is in very good condition with no cracks or tears.
