You are looking at a brief snap shot of an item from my aunts estate stamp collection . An old Postage Stamp Album. The name in the album is Yerex which happens to be my late aunts husbands parents - located in Little Britain, Ontario, Canada and the date in the album is 1896. The album was made in Germany. The pages are old & faded. 124 pages and 80 are blank meaning t is print but no stamps have been attached to those pages. Since I was the executor for the estate - in 1997, I took the album to a stamp and coin collector show in Raleigh, NC and struck up a conversation with an expert. The question was - Can you tell me if this is of any value. I am settling the estate and need to know the value... is the result of our conversation. The gentleman took me to one page and said these three stamps are worth more than $200.00 each. But he concluded if you don't have a buyer; they're not worth anything..
