PCS Stamp Collection , Princess Diana Collector Panels , Postal Commemorative Society Title: Postal Commemorative Society Princess Diana Collector Panels Description: Red vinyl binder measuring approximately 14" by 12" with silver lettering and design on front cover and spine. This rare set of Princess Diana Collector Panels , issued in 1999, commemorates twenty important events in the life of "the People's Princess" . Each panel contains an unused encapsulated US stamps and a US or United Kingdom postmark with an anniversary date of the event being commemorated. This historical collection is a product of the Postal Commemorative Society, a division of MBI, Inc. MBI has built an outstanding reputation for providing high quality products for the discerning collector through its four operating divisions: The Danbury Mint, The Postal Commemorative Society, The Easton Press, and The Danbury Mint, UK. The Postal Commemorative Society, established in 1970, is the world's largest philatelic organization, marketing a wide range of heirloom-quality stamp, coin and other collectible products. Condition: This is an attractive stamp set that is in very good condition overall. Silver lettering and design on the front cover remains bright and complete. The panels and stamps are colorful and bright and the binder shows just minor rubbing. The first vinyl interior sleeve is very lightly yellowed and we have included an additional photo that contrasts the panel insert against the appearance of the vinyl sleeve of the panel. At Tilling Traders we believe there should be no such thing as site unseen when making a decision to purchase our items. Please Please note that our PCS albumns were purchased several years ago in Washington state at auction and we do not know the history of the estate these albumns came from. Since purchase they have been stored in an open bookcase in a smoke free home. However, the vinyl sleeves from some of the albumns are toned along the top edge and some albums have a faint residual odor of vinyl and/or smoke (somewhat like an old plastic shower curtain). This indicates to us that some of the albumns probably came from a home using a fireplace or wood stove (common in the Pacific Northwest) and/or one in which residents smoked.
