This auction is for one authentic U.S. Postal shoulder bag dated 1970.
1970 is stamped on the inside along with :WATTS MFG. 1970.
Leather needs cleaned, Please see pictures. This has been in storage for decades. The leather is soft and beautiful but NEEDS CLEANED! Please examine pictures closely!
Leather shoulder strap , adjustable.
Front flap of bag is stamped U.S. Mail
Has divider flap in midde.
Made of very heavy leather.
App. 22" across and 19" deep.
Rather rare and unique find.
Belongs to retired post master.
Many uses, from college student wanting a different look for laptop and books to the artful antique collector looking for a unique piece of postal history.
I was using it for awhile for our homeschool books and laptop, to tote around to group classes and such.
These bags are not around much at all anymore. I've only ever seen a handful on eBay and none anyw else.
