is a very good+ condition unused and slightly worn postcard of the photograph Soft Wind by Flor Garduño, Mexican photographer. Originally a 6x4 postcard that appears to have been trimmed at the edges, just the white borders off the front, not obscuring the image or any of the text on the back. A high quality reproduction published by Nouvelles Images in France 1987.
Flor Garduño was born in Mexico City in 1957 and in 1979 became darkroom assistant to Manuel Alvarez Bravo (see also 'Bravo Surrealist'.) She developed her own style while working under photographer Mariana Yampolsky at the Secretary of Public Education, which involved her in visiting the rural areas of Mexico. Since then she has become an internationally acclaimed photographer, and now divides her time between Mexico and Switzerland. Actual card is clearer than the scanned image. Postage is $1.25 for good packaging and a plastic sleeve, $2.50 outside of the US. I combine shipping for multiple wins, so please see my other auctions. Thanks for bidding. Our Other Auctions !
