This auction is for a Lionel Postwar Burlington Route GP-7 frame in good operating condition. Is your favorite Burlington Route rusted out, frame or rails twisted, bent or dinged? If you need a good sturdy frame for a layout train, your favorite "runner" or a nice Christmas tree train and do not need original, mint or collectable quality paint this may be your solution. This is in my opinion an early professional airbrush repaint that had minor prep imperfections resulting in recurring corrosion, mainly on top; the finish is nice yet not top notch. The color is Lionel's classic Burlington fire engine red semi-gloss. There are some of the normal turning scratches and nicks on bottom; the horn relay/battery bracket and the e-unit bracket look to be sturdy re production units; the sawtooth ground end of battery well has been replaced with a riveted spring clip (electrically sound) that has the hole for the battery cover screw. The s ide and end catwalk railings are very good with a minor bend and sway here and there, some minor nicks and chips on edge. This auction is complete and includes the lamp brackets, the e-unit bracket, the horn relay/battery bracket, the lamp contacts, wires (not shown), and the springs and non-factory screws to attach cab assembly to frame. This frame would make an excellent addition for a tired layout train read more
