POSTWAR LIONEL 614 NW2 ALASKA SWITCHER FREIGHT TRAIN SETLOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of the 1960 Alaska freight train set made by Lionel to celebrate the acceptance of Alaska as a State. Included in the set is everything you see in the set which is the following: 614 NW2 DIESEL SWITCHER with magna-traction, fixed couplers, headlight and a two position e-unit all of which is correct for this loco, 6636 AAR QUAD HOPPER, 6162-80 AAR GONDOAL (with the 4 original canisters), 6465 LIONEL LINES TANK CAR, and the 6027 ALASKA CABOOSE. Cars have the AAR Truck with automatic couplers. Set is all original Post War Lionel including all parts and paint with no paint touchups.DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: This is a well matched and beautiful looking set. The Switcher has the typical front screw hole crack but its small and hardly noticeable (see picture) but other than this the plastic shells are all in great shape, no cracks, breaks or chips. The colors are all nice and bright, lettering and numbers are all bright and clear. Trucks and rollers all in great shape. About the only mark on the entire set is the screw hole crack. Again, set looks great, and IMHO I would rate it as in C-7, excellent plus condition but take a good look at the pictures and you be the judge.WORKING CONDITION: I have cleaned, lubed and tested the loco
