An undated, c1870 Family Bible from J.A. Stoddard in Chicago in good-acceptable condition with tears in the leather cover at top of spine and front cover, but otherwise in good condition with no marks other than a Family Record section filled out with fairly complete Brickner family records around the Boston, MA area from 1871 at the marriage of Thomas Brickner to Lillian M. Bicknell to the early 1920's. The bible measures about 9.5x12x4.5 inches, and there is gold trim on cover and gilt page edges. A King James Version with Apocrypha with over 1000 illustrations. The (Authorized - King James Version) Bible has many in-text engravings and (as per the title page): " to which are added directions for the profitable reading of the Scriptures, a summary of the whole work as contained in the books of the Old and New testaments, chronological and genealogical tables, and tables of Scripture measures, weights, coins, etc. etc..
