This pair of vintage double cane club chairs are from the mid 70's and they are very well made. They are made by Bielecky Bros in New York City who have been handcrafting high quality cane furniture for more than a century for such well known designers as Billy Baldwin. They still manufacture this line today. See this link for more information: /history.htm They are rock solid and have no damage to the cane what so ever. The cane is very taut and in excellent condition. The linear lines are very modern and make these chairs look great. It is rare you see a pair of these in such great original condition. The cushions are part down (see photo). The covers have some stains and small discolored spots. They have zippers so they can be removed and washed. However reupholstering them in your favorite fabric would be easy as t is no fabric on the frames - just the 2 cushions. The bottom cushion has springs and ensures that these chairs are very comfortable. The chair have a great look to them. They look like a square Knoll club chair but in cane.
