Pair of French Empire style Neoclassical Bronze & Brass Urns. Each Urn features dual Rams heads from which swag ornate garlands. Cast of bronze with cast brass ornamentations and mounts. Removeable seperate lids. Antique black enameled textured patina, with lightely stipped effect. Antique gold mountings. Very heavy and very durable, with good definition of the detailed architectural elements. From one of South Carolinas finest plantation estates, and been in storage for awhile. In excellent condition. Although not antique they have the appearance of being so. Measure approx: 17"x 7" x 5.5".High decorative value, and my finest pair Apparently unhallmarked, but most likely and assureably by Maitland Smith.
