pair of handsome, high quality, prominently
footed, sterling silver wine tasters that were
gifted in new condition to their sole owners
on the occasion of their wedding in 1947
approximate measurements
diameter: 2 1/4" (without handle)
exterior height: 2 3/8"
weight: 135.2 grams (67.2 & 68.0 grams)

an enigma persists as to w and by
whom the tasters were made as the exact mark
has not been found anyw by our side--
perhaps one of you can point us in the right
direction, as viable possibilities are at least 4:
1) made by Hamilton Silver MFG Co., New York,
whose mark is in upper case but generally within
an oval; more importantly, they were absorbed
into TN Benedict Mfg Co in 1912
2) Tiffany sold silver known as Hamilton but one
would think it would be marked Tiffany as well
3) a small manufacturer with short life
span that is unrecorded
4) Hamilton is the name of the pattern,
not the maker
