ATTENTION: Please read this description carefully and email me with any questions before bidding. Remember to check this listing during the auction for any addendums I may add.A superb pair of blue and white Kangxi porcelain vases with scarce âe~café-au-laitâe(tm) ground. The form is derived from the classic Islamic rose water sprinkler. The pale café-au-lait ground has a delicate lustrous sheenwhich compliments of the graceful elegant form of each vase. Both are in very fine condition essentially as-made condition withno apparent surface abrasions, no chips, fritting, cracks, hairlines,or restorations. T is one tiny open glaze bubble near the center of one of the flowers on one vase (see photo). T are as well a couple of miniscule specks in the glaze and t and original to the making. Please note that in my close up photos the flowers appear larger than they actually are (t are three flower on each vase). The photos of the entire vases is more accurate.Marchant of London has long been one of the premier dealersin this type of material. Vases are 7 & 5/8âe tall and 7 & ½âe tall. IMPORTANT: If you are a buyer from mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore,or Taiwan with low feedback (under 10), contact me before bidding. If you have low and Negative feedback or if you are a âe~non-registeredâe(tm) buyer from anyw, DO NOT bid on this auction (I will cancel your bid and block you if you do). PLEASE place your bid carefully, as I have had a rash of canceled bids placed by disreputable buyers attempting to determine my reserves. If I determine that a bid was placed for this reason and then canceled, I will cancel any subsequent bids from that buyer. The number of deadbeat buyers and canceled bids has grown alarmingly and I have been forced to set these limits to try and deal with the damage this does to my auctions (and the damage it does to all honest and conscientious ebayers). Unfortunately, ebay is doing nothing effectual to deal with these problems (one Chinese mainland buyer with 2 feedbacks has canceled 24 bids in a three month periodâe¦3 times in one of my auctions aloneâe¦ebay oversight?)Evidently t are bidders who seem to feel that bidding is some sort of competitive sport...with no rules)The identification and dating of Antiques and Decorative Arts is at times a more or less subjective endeavor. For a variety of reasons, one âe~expertâe(tm)sâe(tm) results can differ from anotherâe(tm)s. My descriptions are based on my researches and experience. The time to question these, is before bidding, not after. I go to great lengths to be as accurate as possible and to provide enough photographs to allow the buyer to exercise their own judgment. However, I cannot be responsible for differing opinions, when brought into play after the close of an auction. If you remain uneasy about an item I am listing, even after contacting me, the decision to bid will be your responsibility. I have regretfully had to âe~draw this lineâe(tm), due to a rash of disreputable deadbeat buyers, who have attempted to back out of their purchase commitment, by interposing the âe~opinionâe(tm) of a non-substantiated third party. This despite the fact that the object was accurately represented and well photographed.PLEASE NOTE: Unless itâe(tm)s absolutely unnecessary, ALL of my items are shipped double boxed, with sufficient buffer/packing room all around in each box. I am a meticulous packer, taking time and trouble to try and insure that the item arrives undamaged. I do not charge for materials or handling. However, my scales is not calibrated to the Post Office scales, and the difference of an ounce can alter the cost of shipping by $1 or more, up or down (the price changes at the first ounce over the even pound weight). I do my best to be as accurate as possi...
