This auction includes a pair of Alexander Backer, or ABCO, figures. The ambience of these two pieces could make quite a statement, well placed in the proper decor. I believe they would be great mixed into the new "Hollywood" style. I can't say exactly how old these figures are. I would guess they were manufactured in the 1950s or 1960s. They appear to have been repainted, once or more, over the years. T are a few shallow nicks that I have left untouched so you can see them easily in the pictures. A bit of touch up paint, or a total repainting, and the nicks would not be noticable. They are made of some type of thick molded ceramic? material. They could be used as bookends. However, they are hollow and not quite heavy enough to be practical for this use (3 lb. 13 oz each). They measure approximately 11 1/2" tall x 8 3/4" wide x 3 5/8" thick. I am also listing a pair of framed reliefs that compliment these figures. The four pieces were displayed together in a local home. Please feel free to email with any questions prior to bidding. We use Priority Mail for lightweight and/or expensive packages, and Fedex Ground for heavier/larger shipments (our discretion). Fedex packages are picked up once a week so this may delay shipment as much as 5 business days. If you need faster shipment please email with your requirements (include zip code) and we'll let you know what the options are. A TELEPHONE number is required for many online shipping labels so please include it with payment. Insurance is included in the flat shipping price. Alaska and Hawaii , please email for a quote. Pick up in Ocala , FL is always an option. IF COMBINED SHIPPING SEEMS HIGH PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO EMAIL FOR A QUOTE. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: You can use the drop down in the shipping calculator to choose your country and calculate shipping. Priority Mail is the only means that is standard on our international listings so that your purchase may be insured. On small items valued at less than $25 we will ship via First Class to buyers with excellent feedback history. I do need a TELEPHONE number from you in order to print an online shipping label. At this time we do not ship furniture overseas. CUSTOMER SERVICE-FEEDBACK: Once you examine your purchase, please leave positive feedback to confirm receipt and satisfaction. If you encounter any problem with your service or product, I ask that you contact me so that I have the opportunity to resolve the issue. The three negative feedbacks that I have received (in 6 years) were left by buyers who did not contact me. Tfore, I will not consider the transaction complete until I know that you have received the product and are happy with it, or any problem has been resolved to your satisfaction. Once complete, I will happily leave positive feedback for you. RETURNS: I try very hard to describe every flaw and/or detail I can find on items. If I'm unsure I ask that you inspect the pictures carefully and ask questions. If I make a mistake (as any human can) and misrepresent an item in the listing then I will offer the buyer a full refund, including shipping. If you make a mistake (buyer's remorse, didn't read the listing, etc.) then the item may be returned within 7 days of receipt (in the condition it was sent) for a refund of the purchase price only .
