Pragotron Master ClockCirca 1960 In 1960 master clocks started to become high tech. This clock is only 15 inches high and could control as many slave clocks as you wanted it to and it could also control a bell circuit. The clock was made by the Pragotron Company in Czechoslovakia. Below the clock dial was the control circuit wheel. Pins could be placed in the wheel at 5 minute intervals for a 24 hour period and there was a separate indicator for the days of the week. When the inserted pin would reach the control circuit, a bell would ring. The clock could also control any number of remote, or slave clocks The entire clock mechanism and control wheel could be removed from the clock for service or adjustment in just seconds. Now controled by diodes, transistors, resistors, and capacitors, the clock was very accurate and ran on 120 volts. With the clock dial, mechanism, and control wheel removed, the circuit board could continue to operate the remote slave clocks. The circuit board is complete with blinking red and green led lights to indicate the seconds and syncing pulses. Since this clock was made, the company changed thier name from Pragotron to Elektrocas, and the country has change their name from Czechoslovakia to the Czech Republic.
