Prattware pot lid "Good dog". Large. Genuine 19th century.

An attractive pot lid in generally good condition. This is the "Good dog", made by the Pratt factory in Fenton, Staffordshire and classified as scarce. The picture is based on a painting by Landseer, but altered by Jesse Austin. The colours are bright and the detail crisp. The title appears indistinctly at the bottom of the picture on the ground in the foliage. The lid measures about 12cm in diameter. It is presented in a dark wooden frame. The lid is dated from mid to late nineteenth century. Very good condition.
