I don't know much about this piece other than its age. It dates to the very early 20th century and is pre-ban legal ivory. It is a carved figurine with black markings, see photos. Some patina. I am told this is sometimes called a netsuke. We are offering it at no reserve, it looks to be a hand crafted work of art. Weight is about 13.6 grams and it is about 2" long.
