This early surgical Brass Bleeding Fleam measures 2 1/4" long. It has a loose piece. When I pull back on the blade it does not catch. I think that is what the loose piece is...the catch. It comes in a suede lined leather box which is embossed what looks like the word "Trannichtesticht" on the top. The exterior of the case has age wear. Shipping will be $2.50 First Class Mail.
