Here is an exceptional find from Pre-Columbian Central America - an effigy, part of a collection we came upon This listing is for just the effigy pictured below. The last photo is the whole collection These effigies were found and collected by a man my father met while on a trip to Mexico in the 1970's. He and his father uncovered and collected them in the early 1900's from the central parts of today's Mexico City, during construction work around the Cathedral and Zocalo square in the Mexican capital. We acquired them together with the Aztec Territorial Marker we have for sale now They came from the parts of today's Central Mexico, and are most likely from the Chichimeca and Mexica or Mixtec cultures, predecessors and later on part of the Aztec Empire Dates back to the Classical period of Mesoamerican history, c. 200-900 A.D.
