It is an ancient Mezcala or Chontal pre-columbian stone figure circa late preclassic period from the state of Guerrero in Mexico. This exceptional carving has a delineation for its mouth, eyes, arms and legs. It made from light greenstone with minimal mineral deposits and comes with a professionally made custom stand. According to Carlo Gay the expert in the Mezcala and Chontal cultures, M2 figures are extremely rare. This fine antiquity would make a great addition to any collection and will certainly make the winner happy. AGE / DATEB.C. 300-100 DIMENSIONS Measuring approximately 3 1/2 inches in height and 1 2/3 inches in width and 2 inches in depth.
